What would you say are the top three skills needed to be a successful entrepreneur?
a. Fearless
b. Resourceful
c. Problem-solver

How do you generate new ideas?
I look at trends and see what’s out there. I read a lot and do a lot of research in the industry.

Name one business failure and what have you learned from it?
Not dedicating enough resources to a product that  we should have been more involved in. Once we needed  make a change, it was too giant to fix.

What is your greatest business fear, and how do you manage it?
Moving forward we wouldn’t able to keep the same company culture and human connection. We’re very good at team building, I want to keep that.

How do you define success?
I believe success comes in many stages. As long as I can sleep at night and my conscious is clear, I’m successful.

What has been your most satisfying moment in business?
I’ve had quite a few. Outwardly very obvious, when we were feature in Time Magazine, Business Week and Wall Street Journal and I was flown to be on ABC News and all that. But probably my proudest moment was solidifying an amazing team and cultivating them into the team we are today.

What is one thing that no one knows about you?
I have gray hair.

Excluding yours, what company or business do you admire the most?
I admire Rackspace. They’ve known how to grow in their own culture. They’ve created an environment of fanatical support, it’s an outgoing message but also something the employees believe internally as well.

What is your favorite EO memory?
It’s been amazing all around. It was comforting to realize that I wasn’t alone and we’re all in the same boat.

In one word, characterize your life as an entrepreneur.
Formula 1.
